“Insiders work” by Author Chinyere Udeh

It’s indeed a shame that it was your own peers who wanted your downfall. Power and greed have made the heart of man full of evil. We can’t contact you, and you can’t contact us; that’s the rule they set. As we live worlds apart from each other at the moment, we are praying that you come out of this even stronger. We hope that the next news we hear is your return to work. The next time we see you, it will be you walking down the office, passing everyone’s desks, greeting us by our names with a big smile. They say wishes aren’t horses, but if they were, we would wish for you to come back to work and keep everything and everyone safe, happy, and we would be coming to work knowing you would be there to protect us. But if you never make it back to us, just know that we refuse to remember or accept you with the negative image they are trying so hard to create about you. Your free spirit, down-to-earth manner, hearing and seeing your staff’s voices, as a good person and leader, shall forever live with us. Our only wish is for you to fight for your innocence and come back to us. Others and I will be waiting to see and talk to you, just like we do every morning before you come into the office. Stay strong and fight to the end.
