“Genuine Nice People” by Author Chinyere M Udeh

Genuine nice people don’t come with a written note on their forehead. Neither do they come with a public figure billboard that says, ‘Genuine Nice People’. Or a superhero outfit. They do not come in the form of a perfect human either, because they are imperfect just like everyone else. Nevertheless, what sets genuine nice people apart from others is the little things they do when nobody is watching.

How they stand up to speak the truth and defend others when needed. How they show up in the face of adversity and when hope and help are despaired of. How they illuminate the darkest tunnels using their inner light that leads not just them out, but also those they’ve come to bring to safety.

Some genuinely nice people were born, while others were created after passing through the hardest and most challenging storms in life. Genuine nice people come in different shapes, sizes, and colors, not just one color, size, or shape.
